FARO welcomes Geo-Spatial Survey Solutions Ltd

Geo-Spatial Survey Solutions Ltd is the First company in the UK to take delivery of the new FARO LS Scanner. Geo-Spatial has a wealth of experience in surveying and CAD modelling for the offshore, petrochemical and shipbuilding industries. They are currently based at H.M Naval base in Portsmouth and have been established for five years working closely with the VT Group.

 

Geo-Spatial’s decision to purchase a FARO Laser Scanner LS 880 HE80 was based on many factors including, quality of product, its modular design, speed of scan, ability to run on batteries and to save to an onboard internal hard drive, making the unit highly flexible in the work place.

 

The primary application for the scanner will be to enhance the service they provide to their existing client base allowing for more detailed and comprehensive as built surveys.

 

With so much detail in each scan no area has to be excluded meaning an entire object can be digitally captured with the end result being a realistic 3D representation, not just a summary model. For the acquisition of large structures, the FARO Laser Scanner will prove the fastest way to represent as built reality in digital form.

 

By investing in the latest technology Geo-Spatial intend to continue providing a progressive approach to data capture and survey in the engineering and fabrication arena.
